A lively community

Hey everyone,

I joined this forum about 1 hour ago. I'm seeing a lot of cool topics, but little life. So I was thinking about getting this community to be a little bit more active.

How can we do this? well anyone with ideas can post them here. It will be more attractive for people to post, if they know that people will reply within a week or so, perhaps in a day.
We are currently at about 230 something members... let's raise that a little bit.

I'm sure that everyone has someone they have meaningful conversations with. Preferably someone with brains and no intention of trolling. If you do have such a friend, please show them the book, make a picture of their face after they read the first page or so, and than convince them to join this forum.
Please do not post this on 9gag as it will become a trolling-ground for 12 year olds and we dont want this to explode, but maybe we can like triple our community.

Second idea is just post this website on facebook. 70 percent of the people will think "TLDR", "Ohh that douche is trying to be intelligent" or something like that. another 20 percent will think "Ohh wow, he is so cool and philosophical". The last 10 percent will think "Pretty cool, let's actually read this". Of that 10 percent, about a quarter will be interested enough leaving us with:

180(members with facebook) X 300(friends on average) X 2.5% = 1350 new people. Not lets asume this is a totally bad idea and I suck..
Than we will probably only get 2% of the actual 1350, still leaving us with 27 new people.
If these 27 people are half as enthusiastic as some of us, we can have a real active forum.

What do you say? It's up to us to start this thing up. Takes a little effort, but no money(I'm a greedy Dutch bastard) so lets just do it....

Maybe the admin, aka Harry, could send people an email asking them to become active again....
Give them some advice on how to use the forum and tell them they have the chance to be leading people on this forum and that they are awesome and stuff.
