Mammals are the only creatures to play and have "fun"? To understand what a creature thinks of as fun, there must be some degree of correlation between the obsever and the observed. Two creatures that have few similarities would have different ideas about what is fun.

Please note that the experience of joy is not equivalent to the experience of fun from play - and mammals are not the only creatures to experience joy.
