Web Access
Many aspects of the Codel Project have only become plausible since 1993 and the advent of the Web. Essentially, the web reduces the cost of networking to trivial levels and permits anyone to log on and track or validate items of interest.
Public Domain algorithms, like the SHA1 hashing function are also a vital component of the overall system. They can be incorporated and distributed to all who need them at no cost.
There are, of course, security concerns which accompany web based services, but we believe they are manageable as we describe here.
